Seven Steps to Certification:
STEP 1: Register for a course at least 4 weeks before expiration of current NRP certification. Registration confirmation email will be sent with course date, time and location. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your registration did not go through. Classes fill up extremely fast, please sign up early to avoid add on fees. See registration form below.
STEP 2: Complete Self-study using Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 8th Edition. Earlier editions should not be used. The 8th edition has 2 levels of learners: Essential (lessons 1-4) and Advanced (1-11).

STEP 3:Complete Online examination BEFORE attending the course. Two weeks before the course, instructions on how to access the online exam will be sent by email. RQI Partners is the host of the examination. We advise completing the exam at least 1 week before the course to allow ample time for exam completion in the event of technical difficulties.
STEP 4: E-mail a copy of your Certificate of Completion to nrp@ohsu.edu by 12:00pm the day prior to your scheduled Instructor-Led Event.
STEP 5: Attend and participate in the Instructor-Led Event (an interactive simulation-based course). Please wear scrubs if able.
Receive e-mail from nrp@ohsu.edu after successfully completing the Instructor-led event with directions on how to complete Steps 6 and 7.
STEP 6: Complete Instructor-Led Event evaluation form in RQI Partners
STEP 7: Gain access to e-NRP (electronic NRP) card
OHSU Employees: To pay by department account, enter OHSU in the discount box if your department has agreed to pay the class fee on your behalf.
Approved departments: NICU, L&D, MBU, RT, PANDA, FLOAT POOL, GME, FM, EM, OB/GYN, 10N, 10S, 9N/9S, 8N
Rescheduling Policy: Due to class size limitations and simulation-based structure of the course, registration fees will only be fully refunded for changes made 7 days prior to your scheduled class date.
